Vodacom have opened pre-registration for the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. The page clearly say that pre-registration is not pre-ordering and does’t guarantee a handset.

The much anticipated iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C will soon hit our stores. To receive further information such as the launch details and great deals, please leave us an email below. You will receive communication from us about these phones, such as the launch details and pricing information. This is not a pre-order and doesn’t guarantee a handset. Information on pre-order will be made available closer to the time of launch.

Will the iPhone 5C be on an affordable contract? By the looks of it in the US this ‘cheaper’ iPhone still costs a $100 per month on contract which means it will be R450 or R600 per month here in SA? Looks like it won’t be ‘cheap’ at all…

We can’t compare contract prices to the US as each carrier works differently. In South Africa you can get an iPhone 5 free on a Vodacom Talk 500 and the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s price started at the same amount. iPhone 5c should be free on a Vodacom Talk 240.

How do we actually go about per-registering with Vodacom?

I’m going overseas in December when the the intended launch and distribution of iPhone 5c and 5s is supposed to be and I don’t want to miss out on any special contract deals for vodacom come out. I’m looking at the 5c as the better option budget wise. How do I pre register/order, as I will only be back in January.
