Is iOS 7 iWatch ready?

During WWDC Apple get a preview of iOS 7 and made it available to developers. Apple however didn’t expose to much of what was available to developers in iOS 7 during the keynote.

Something that came up during WWDC is that Apple has opened up Bluetooth LE support. This allows bluetooth devices to receive Notifications which was previously not supported. This means that smart watch’s like the Pebble can now get real time notification from iOS 7.

Does this mean Apple is creating the iWatch? News suggests that Apple already has a 100 person team working on a smart watch and this feature was most likely influenced by that team. The big question is when will Apple release the iWatch? Most rumours suggest 2014 but with this recent discovery could Apple be planning a release in September when they release the iPhone 5s / 6?

Martin Hajek put together some designs of a possible iWatch.
