iPhone 5s to come with fingerprint sensor.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has on a number of occasions offered accurate information on Apple’s product plans, has issued a new research note indicating that the iPhone 5S may include a sapphire-covered convex home button housing a fingerprint sensor.

The iPhone has had a concave shaped home button since launch in 2007 but Kuo believes this will change with the change with the iPhone 5s. Apple will to have an advantage over it’s competitors when it comes to fingerprint sensor as Apple is expected to use a RF technology as opposed to the more common optical recognition used in other devices. Optical recognition fingerprint sensor are effected by dust and other contaminants. The use of RF technology will give users a better experience compared to other devices.
